August & September Birthday Celebrations



Visit from Durant Rd. Middle Schoolers

 Each year the 8th graders write their own children's book, and then our 1st graders get to be the illustrators.  This year was no exception!  As you can see our kids were mesmerized by the 8th graders, and really enjoyed themselves.  Maybe they will get the chance to do this for a child someday, since some of this year's 8th graders were once 1st graders at Durant.

The kids and I had a wonderful week filled with bug activities.  We read bug stories.  They created their own bugs for homework.  Then on Friday we had our very own Bug Museum full of their very own creations.  So much fun was had celebrating their hard work.  We hope you enjoy their bugs!
